So I came by to pay a friendly visit to the blog, and what do I find?! You have insulted my family! And for what reason? That Year-End Best-Of List will never love you back; that Year-End Best-Of List cares less about you than you care about grandparents of others. Sorry to be harsh but it seems like an Intervention is needed.
No! The whole thing is that I was foolish and misguided and self-absorbed, what Freud might call a solipsistic infant whose object-identification skills are still so undeveloped that he thinks HE IS THE WORLD. But I'm not! The whole thing is that I've learned to love these past two years (and are you kidding me? Funeral absolutely WAS the best album of the year). If you're not turned off by cliches: it's not you, it's me, and me is a very different person now.
